One would probably assume a US president has more important things to be concerned about.
But Trump did at least hear about it, and he hit back. On Twitter. To his 33 million followers. He attacked Mika’s IQ and her appearance.
“I hear poorly rated ‘Morning Joe’ speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore),” he wrote. “Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
Trump has not deleted the tweets or issued an apology. The White House has previously said Trump’s tweets can be considered official statements.

The Morning hosts were once friends with Trump, but have become increasingly critical of him and his administration. This week they made comment about the fake TIME covers that have been discovered hanging on the walls of Trump-owned golf courses. (TIME has requested the fake covers be removed).
The NSNBC has issued a statement about Trump’s tweets saying, “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying, and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the president. “I don’t think the president’s ever been someone who gets attacked and doesn’t push back. There have been an outrageous number of personal attacks, not just to him but to frankly everyone around him.”
“This is a president who fights fire with fire and certainly will not be allowed to be bullied by liberal media or liberal leaks within the media, or Hollywood or anywhere else.”
And there was this from Trump’s head of social media.

And some have aimed to “set the record straight” on Mika’s actual appearance on the night Trump claimed she was “bleeding badly”.
