Jacinda Ardern steps up, so Alan Jones says Scott Morrison should ‘shove a sock down her throat’

Jones
Yes, this is what it’s come to. One of Australia’s loudest shock jocks issuing violent language against one of the few female leaders of the world, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

The comment came on air this morning from Alan Jones, in response to Ardern declaring that Australia must “answer to the Pacific” on climate change — just as Pacific leaders were preparing for a day of closed talks in Tuvalu, with Australia expected to water down the final communique.

Jones responded by calling Ardern “a joke”, “an absolutely and utter light-weight” and a “clown” who had swallowed the [climate change] hoax”, who in his mind needs shutting up.

“I just wonder whether Scott Morrison is going to be fully briefed to shove a sock down her throat,” he said.

“She is a joke this woman, an absolute and utter light-weight.”

2GB had run Jones’ comment in a headline on a story declaring he’d slammed the New Zealand Prime Minister. Perhaps it was later deemed inappropriate — given 2GB has since amended it to include the softer comment from Jones that Ardern“is a joke”.

Jones has a record of making horror comments about women in power.

You may recall the time he declared that women were “destroying the joint”.

And the many comments he made about then Prime Minister Julia Gillard, including that her father had “died of shame”.

Last year Jones said he had used words that “he regret” when telling CEO Louise Herron that she was “out of her depth”.

Ardern and Morrison joined other Pacific leaders on Tuvalu for the Pacific island Forum this week, where Ardern declared that “New Zealand will do its bit and we have an expectation that everyone else will as well — we have to.”

She added that, “Australia has to answer to the Pacific [and] that’s a matter for them.

Ardern has previously committed New Zealand to a carbon-neutral economy by 2050.

Ardern wasn’t the only Pacific leader to be called a “joke” and a “fool” by Jones, he attacked all the “Pacific Islander Mob” who dared speak out about the impact of climate change, but reserved his ugliest comments for Ardern.
