Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. It is a time to recognise the critical role women and girls play or have played in science.

To mark International Day of the Girl Child’s theme ‘With Her: A Skilled GirlForce’, Debora O’Neill calls for more work with girls to close STEM gender gap. 

Women in Stem are constrained by gendered barriers such as stereotypes and unconscious bias. Progress has happened, but we are nowhere near parity.
