March 8, 2019 | Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane
The Institute of Managers and Leaders is proud to present The Great Debate, International Women’s Day’s Official Flagship Event. Since 1998, every year on International Women’s Day, The Great Debate ignites passion, thought and laughter around topics of gender equality around Australia. This lively luncheon brings together six hand-picked, opinionated and accomplished Australian leaders and personalities in an entertaining debate that challenges our ideas of equality, diversity and progress.
In 2019, our debate topic is “her aspiration needs his cooperation”. Across the world – from the workplace to education to politics – women are still facing prejudice, intolerance and inequality in 2019. With global campaigns to empower women and girls relying on the support of men to advance the cause, it is frustrating to see the lack of progress in gender equality in our social, cultural and economic systems.
This year, the Institute challenges the notion, “do women need the cooperation of men to succeed in 2019?
Join us on the 8th of March in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to hear Australian leaders debate in a “true celebration of female wit, wisdom, power and ratbaggery”.
Early bird tickets finish 31st of January.
In 2018, all Great Debate events completely sold out – so get in quick!
