Australia still has plenty of work to do when it comes to boosting women’s workforce participation and the number of women in senior positions. One way to help make this happen is to acknowledge and highlight the considerable achievements of our female talent.
Which is why Women’s Agenda remains committed to celebrating and uncovering emerging female leaders, the talented women — and men — who are demonstrating innovation and leadership, and displaying a strong commitment to creating change for the next generation.
Last year when we set out to celebrate the accomplishments of the outstanding female talent in Australia through the inaugural NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards we were overwhelmed by the number and calibre of nominations we received. We uncovered a substantial number of successful women who may otherwise have gone unnoticed outside their own organisations.
Today we’re thrilled to once again call on nominations for the 2014 NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards. We’re calling for nominations across ten categories, acknowledging the individuals who are making a difference as change champions, inspiring the next generation as mentors, and recognising the leaders who are making a positive contribution for women in the workplace.
If you’re an emerging entrepreneur, or a leader who has made a positive difference in your workplace over the past 12 months, or a manager who is creating a fairer workplace, this is your opportunity to be recognised and celebrated. Or, perhaps you have a mentor who is making a difference to your career, or your workplace has created an initiative that has made it a more inclusive one or you know a woman whose work deserves to be recognised. Whichever category this is your chance to celebrate the fantastic men and women who are helping Australian women to succeed. We want to broadcast these achievements.
Nominations for the 2014 NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards are now open until January 2014.
