Announcing the appointment this week, the firm said Sue’s management of the Australian business has seen it go from “strength to strength” gaining marketing share, winning awards and growing its profit and revenue.
Sue, who’s legal work specialises in real estate, construction and infrastructure, and was first named a partner in 1996, three years after joining the firm.
Today, she’s quoted in the AFR as saying the world’s “pivot to Asia” is a great opportunity for the firm.
Global Chairman Wang Junfeng said Sue’s track record of success running the business in Australia, as well as her international relationships and deep understanding of the global business, puts her in a great position to further develop the firm’s global agenda.
Sue starts in the role on 1 June 2017, and replaces Stuart Fuller who stepped down from the position at the end of 2016.
