When former PM Julia Gillard delivered her misogyny speech in parliament, she probably didn’t anticipate the level of attention it sparked, from international publications lauding her, to a musical adaptation of the song.
But that’s exactly the kind of treatment her speech has been given, with a group of women reinventing her words into a song to the tune of I will survive. The speech was performed in front of Gillard on Sunday at the Victorian Women’s Trust Tribute.
