What do you want from the 2016 Federal Election? - Women's Agenda

What do you want from the 2016 Federal Election?

It’s (almost) on?

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull called a press conference today to announce a series of dates and deadlines that could ultimately lead to an early election.

Australia could potentially head to the polls on July 2, if the Senate fails to pass a bill that would re-instate the Australian Building and Construction Commission, prompting a double dissolution election.

Turnbull told a press conference this morning that the Senate will be recalled on 18 April to consider the ABCC legislation again. The federal budget will also be brought forward to May 3 instead of May 10.

And so even though the election has still not been formally called – and yes that July 2 is only a very good maybe at the moment – we want to start talking about the policies and issues that matter to women.

So what do you want/expect out of the upcoming election, especially when it comes to issues affecting women?

Take our speedy 20 second poll and let us know.
