Julie Watson is the Labor candidate in the Liberal-held seat of Grey, South Australia.

Watson has a professional background as a chef and has worked in management at in the kitchen at Port Lincoln Prison. She now works at the Port Augusta prison, where she is an elected worksite delegate and branch councillor for her union.

Watson is passionate about regional health, and says she doesn’t want people living in regional South Australia to have to travel to Adelaide to access suitable treatment.  She also wants to priorities creating skilled regional employment opportunities, and ensure people in Grey receive long-term benefits of the renewable energy boom. She is standing for election on the policy platform of the Labor Party.
