Jeffrey Epstein files will be released, US Attorney General Pam Bondi says

A list of names related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late sex offender, will be released imminently by the US Department of Justice, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

On Wednesday, Bondi told Fox News the DOJ plans to release a “lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot of information” related to Epstein, who has been accused of sexually abusing more than 100 women, including minors.

“I think tomorrow… you’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office,” Bondi said.

Lawmakers on both sides of the table have pressured the DOJ to disclose the documents related to the government’s investigations into Epstein.

US Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee have both pushed Bondi to release the Epstein files as soon as possible. Democrats have also advocated for this push, with Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeting that Bondi “still not releasing the EPSTEIN FILES is weird and raises the question of who she might be protecting”.

In response to the push from politicians, Bondi said her office’s delay has been due to protecting information about Epstein’s victims, but that Trump has given her a “directive” to review the documents.

US president Donald Trump signed an executive order last month calling on agencies to create plans to release and distribute top-secret documents.

A wealthy financier from New York, Epstein was known for associating with celebrities, politicians, billionaires and big-name academics. While awaiting trial over sex trafficking, Epstein died in jail after reported failures from facility staff.

Many of the flight logs from travel on Epstein’s private jet have already been made public in court filings.

High-profile names already associated with Epstein’s inner circle include England’s Prince Andrew, former US president Bill Clinton, famed magician David Copperfield, American singer Michael Jackson and Donald Trump.

It’s unclear what exact documents will be released, but there’s speculation they could include surveillance footage of Epstein’s Florida residence, as well as Ghislaine Maxwell’s “little black book”, which allegedly contains contact information for Epstein’s associates and victims.

Bondi noted on Fox News that the documents set to be released Thursday will only be a “phase one release” with “more to come”.

She also said her department was working on protecting the personal information of over 250 victims connected to Epstein.
