Naima Brown is a former journalist who has lived and worked in Yemen and Afghanistan before making a pivot to reality TV as a producer, and then as a bestselling author of fiction and non-fiction books (How to Age Against the Machine, Mother Tongue, The Shot). She also holds degrees in Middle Eastern Studies, Anthropology and Religious Studies. Her latest book, The Cruise (out 29 Sept) is a revenge fantasy set inside a reality TV show on a cruise ship, where a group of women take matters into their own hands against the dangerous men in their lives.
