Women entrepreneurs and small business owners are a resilient group. Despite facing a system filled with gender bias and discrimination, these leaders have proven they thrive with strong support.
This is what was shown in the 2024 Women’s Agenda Networks and Impact report, supported by Commbank Women in Focus. Drawing on data from over 1,000 women founders and businesses, what truly sets these women apart is their unwavering support networks. Over 80 per cent of respondents cited it as their greatest asset.
Among the many findings, it was clear that optimism and determination were the driving forces propelling these businesses forward, and over 75 per cent of respondents have their sights set on expansion, with more than half intending to hire new talent in the next year.
A year later, we want to hear what’s been working for women in business and what supports are still needed. Our survey looking at women founders and business leaders in Australia is back.
If you’re a founder, small business owner, or a woman in a leadership position at a business with less than 500 team members, this is your chance to let us know what’s working to support you and your business.
From startups to scale-ups to established businesses, the data gathered in this survey will go into a special report on what’s actually working for women in business, thanks to the support of CommBank Women in Focus.
You will be anonymous. Any personal information disclosed will not be shared with any other third party including CommBank. The anonymised results of the completed survey will be pulled together by Women’s Agenda to highlight cumulative trends.
No individual survey data will be shared, but there is an opportunity to leave a name and email address if you are open to being contacted by Women’s Agenda as a case study in the final report.
If you’re a founder, co-founder, or leader of a business with one to 500 employees in Australia, we want to hear from you.
