Anika Wells

Anika Wells

Seat: Lilley
Party: Labor
Anika Wells is the current sitting member for the marginal Labor-held seat of Lilley.

Wells was first elected to the parliament in 2019 after being pre-selected by the party to replace the retiring member Wayne Swan. At the time, she was Australia’s youngest female MP, at age 34.

Wells previously worked as a Labor advisor and was also a practising compensation lawyer at Maurice Blackburn.

She is standing for re-election on Labor’s policy platform and says she is focused on helping local families get ahead.
