Bree Roberts is the Animal Justice Party candidate for the Labor-held seat of Shortland.

Roberts grew up in Newcastle and has a Bachelor of Business and Master of Marketing.

She works as a marketing coordinator for a training company. She has previously worked for Dog Rescue Newcastle, and has organised fundraisers for animal rescues.

Roberts’ main policy issues are domestic violence and animal abuse. She is also campaigning on ending the use of shark nets and drum lines and is concerned about the lack of affordable vet care in the Shortland area.
