Carmel McCallum

Carmel McCallum

Seat: Gilmore
Party: Greens
Qualified pharmacist, Carmel McCallum, is the Greens candidate for the Labor-held seat of Gilmore.

She says her extensive career in pharmacy – including working at more than 50 NSW chemists – has taught her the value of investing in affordable medicine and prevention as a community health strategy.

McCallum also supports the Greens call for immediate climate change action, saying the impact of severe weather events, such as the Black Summer fires and floods have never been so catastrophic.

She says improved economic support to people and businesses impacted by these events needs to happen in order for her community to properly recover.

Passionate about affordable health care, educational equality and employment – she says much needs to be done to remove the poverty and inequality that exists in the region.
