Carolyn “Caz” Heise is an independent candidate running for the National-held seat of Cowper.

She has had a long and successful career in nursing and public health services management, including roles as a director of different hospitals in NSW and a board member of Cancer Council NSW.

Passionate about social justice, Heise was program manager of Mission Australia Northern NSW, and believes in equality throughout the political system.

Her policies include improved funding of the education and arts sector, decision making based on scientific facts, improved access to affordable and public housing, a return to Australian-based manufacturing and a legislated minimum reduction in carbon emissions of 50 per cent (minimum) by 2030.
