Catherine King
Catherine King is the current Labor member for the seat of Ballarat.
King has held the seat for over 20 years, since she was first elected in 2001. She is the first woman elected to represent Ballarat.
She currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.
Before politics, King worked as director of the Department of Health and Aged Care, and in the private sector as a consultant with KPMG.
She is standing for re-election on the Labor Party’s policy platform.
