Dai Le

Dai Le

Seat: Fowler
Dai Le is an independent candidate in the safe Labor-held seat of Fowler.

Dai Le is a well-known local figure in the local Fowler area and is currently Deputy Mayor of Fairfield City Council.

Le arrived in Australia in the 1970s with her mother and sisters from refugee camps in South East Asia, after they escaped war-torn Vietnam.

Le says she is standing for election to give the community a local choice in an electorate that is one of the most cultural and linguistically diverse in Australia.

She says elected representatives have failed to deliver necessary funding to Fowler, and is concerned about local hospitals, public transport, roads, the manufacturing sector, and job creation.

She has a professional background in journalism.

Le’s main policy areas include more hospital funding, more NDIS funding and support to CALD families with special needs, improving local infrastructure, investment in local jobs, reduced cost of living and affordable housing, among other policies.
