Josephine Cashman
A Warrimay woman with aboriginal and colonial heritage, Cashman says she is proud of all lines of her ancestry.
The former NSW Crown Prosecutor was a member of Tony Abbott’s Indigenous Advisory Council and served as Chair of its Safe Communities Committee from 2013 to 2017.
She was sacked from the committee for her role in attempting to denounce Dark Emu author Bruce Pascoe.
She is passionate about stopping abuse within aboriginal communities and preventing the mishandling of financial support to indigenous communities.
Despite this, Cashman wants to stop the implementation of the Uluru Statement and its plan to encourage economic independence among indigenous people.
“All Australians are equal. The Australian Constitution must be upheld.”
Cashman wants import tariffs to be reintroduced for international companies and a greater focus on local jobs and manufacturing.
She also believes in One Nation’s zero-net migration — where only skilled migrants from “culturally cohesive” countries will be permitted into the country.
Cashman describes net-zero carbon emissions targets as “unrealistic”.
