Kate Hook

Kate Hook

Seat: Calare
Kate Hook is an independent candidate for the National-held seat of Calare.

With the slogan, “we can do better”, Hook says she is committed to improving credibility, trust and integrity in politics.

Hook had a corporate career in Sydney, before making the decision to have a tree change and move to a farm outside of Orange, NSW.

The mother of four says after a decade of voicing her concerns and watching local politicians “often fail to actually represent the people they are elected to serve”, she decided to put her hand up.

Hook’s policies focus on future-proofing regional economies through better leadership and planning, climate action including water security, the development of an anti-corruption body and improved healthcare and housing affordability.
