Kristina Keneally
Kristina Keneally is the current member for the Labor held seat of Fowler. Born and raised in the United States, Keneally moved to Australia in 1994. After nine years as a member of the ALP she became the first ever female Premier of NSW in 2009, a role she held for two years. Keneally has held a number of high profile government roles and in 2018 was endorsed by the ALP and elected by the NSW Parliament to fill a casual vacancy in the Senate, where she was subsequently appointed Deputy Labor Leader, Shadow Minister for Home Affairs and Shadow Minister for the Immigration and Citizenship. Keneally worked in the media from 2014 to 2016 and was part of the Sky News team that won a Walkey Award and Logie for its live coverage of the 2016 Federal Election. She has a passion for indigenous affairs, the environment, employment, aged care and health care and education. Keneally is a mother of three and is married to former Botany Bay Mayor, Ben Keneally.
