Libby Coker is the current Labor member for the seat of Corangamite.


Coker was first elected to parliament in 2019. Before federal politics, she was a teacher and journalist and served as the Mayor of the Surf Coast Shire Council.


In parliament, she has been an advocate for people with disabilities as a member of the NDIS joint standing committee.

As a public school teacher, she has a passion for education, and says she is concerned about the consequences of the inaction on climate change.


She is standing on the Labor Party’s policy platform.
