Liz Habermann

Liz Habermann

Seat: Grey
Liz Habermann is an independent candidate in the Liberal-held seat of Grey.

Habermann is the owner of Wudinna bakery on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. In March, Habermann made a big impact in the South Australian state election in the safe Liberal seat of Flinders, where she received a massive 23% swing towards her, losing narrowly to the Liberal candidate. She has been an advocate for voluntary assisted dying.

In the federal election, she is running on a policy platform of greater accountability and transparency in politics, advocating for key infrastructure, supporting care services, acting on climate change, and saving dying regional towns. She has received an endorsement from former Liberal MP Barry Wakelin, who held the seat of Grey between 1993 and 2007.
