Melissa Stevens

Seat: Lilley
Party: Greens
Melissa Stevens is the Greens candidate in the marginal Labor-held seat of Lilley.

Stevens has a degree in biomedical science and has had a 16-year career in medical research and the oncology manufacturing sector.

She describes herself as a proud union member and is passionate about worker’s rights, social justice, cancer research and the climate crisis.

She has lived in Lilley for 15 years and knows that families are struggling with increasing rents, growing unemployment and the casualisation of the workforce.

Stevens is standing on the Greens’ policy platform and is especially interested in a tax for billionaires, modernising manufacturing, and integrity in politics.
