Shaneane Weldon
Shaneane Weldon is the Labor candidate in the Liberal-held seat of O’Connor.
Weldon is a Wangkatja / Ngaantjarra woman. She has a degree in community management and development and a bachelor of education.
Weldon is a local community leader, involved in local government, Aboriginal affairs and community groups. She is the Deputy President of the Shire of Laverton, and has been a Shire Councillor for the past 16 years. Shaneane is a board member of several not-for-profit organisations and Native Title bodies.
She is standing on the Labor Party’s policy platform.
