Toni McLennan
McLennan is a survivor of domestic violence, who is passionate about helping women and children affected by abuse and violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma of Law and Master of Marketing Communication, and worked for two decades in the public service. She managed federal government programs including the Healthy Active Ambassador Program, and she was a board member of a variety of community organisations, including Victims of Crimes ACT, Woden Community Service and the ACT Council of Social Services.
She was previously a member of the Labor party, and was president of the Queanbeyan branch for two years. She resigned from the party after being overlooked in the preselection process. She also started a political party called Hear Our Voice, and was elected to Queanbeyan council in 2012.
This federal election, she is standing on the policy platform of the Informed Medical Options Party.
