Ainslie van Onselen will start in the top job at the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) in mid May, after being appointed CEO by the board.
Ainslie recently spent six years at Westpac Group including as the managing director of RAMs. She has also served as the bank’s Director of Women’s Markets and Inclusion & Diversity.
CA ANZ Chair John Palermo described Ainslie as a “nimble thinker with an eye to the future”. He noted her strong record of strategic thinking and her visibility as an advocate for change.
Ainslie has a background in financial services and is a non-executive director on a number of listed, government and NFP boards, She has practised as a litigation lawyer, including as a partner specializing in corporate and commercial practice in Western Australia.
Ainslie is now based in Sydney.
