Melissa Reynolds has been appointed by the Board of State Trustees to become Chief Executive Officer.
An experienced senior executive and non-executive director, Reynolds has led significant change, transformation, and digitisation programs in highly regulated sectors in financial services and utilities.
With State Trustees, she most recently served as the General Manager of Trustee Services, where she was responsible for Brand and Marketing, Deceased Estates, Personal trusts, Charitable trusts, Powers of attorney and Will preparation as well as government partnerships including Solar Homes and VCAT examinations.
Before this, Reynolds also held senior executive roles at AGL and NAB.

“Melissa’s experience and passion for improving client outcomes will be instrumental in steering State Trustees through its next phase of growth and development.”
State Trustees is a Victorian Government-backed company providing financial and legal services. They help clients look after financial and legal affairs in times of need and after passing away.
The Board of State Trustees has described Reynolds as “an inclusive and open leader who nurtures an environment of collaboration and high performance based on a genuine empathy for clients and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives”.
Reynolds commenced the new role on 12 July 2024. She has succeeded John Velegrinis, who is retiring after leading State Trustees since August 2021.
