After watching an interview with American singer John Legend on network MSNBC, Trump was left seething. Legend had endorsed the government’s new, criminal justice reform but had failed to explicitly thank the President for signing the bill in December— given it held wide, bipartisan support.
This was enough, apparently, to prompt the President into a tailspin.
“I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it”, he spluttered via keyboard.
“Obama couldn’t come close”.
“I SIGNED IT INTO LAW.”
Then, after labelling Legend (a vocal critic of the his own administration) as “boring”, Trump took aim, for no apparent reason, at Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen–branding her as the singer’s “filthy mouthed wife”.
When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help. I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it. Obama couldn’t come close….

….A man named @VanJones68, and many others, were profusely grateful (at that time!). I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise. Guys like boring…..

….musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. “Anchor”@LesterHoltNBC doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about….

But Teigen, never one to shy from a fight, soon had Trump cornered.
Quickly taking to Twitter herself to joke about the absurdity of the President’s conduct, she said: “The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn’t speak in the special, nor was I mentioned,” before referring to the President as a “bitch”.
the absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn’t speak in the special, nor was I mentioned. I’m cackling at the pointless addition of me because he cannot not be a bitch pic.twitter.com/9ZkV7bh4FA

She also posted a sweet picture of her drawing on a chalkboard in celebration of her daughter (Luna’s) first day of school, with this hilarious caption:
Luna, remember the night before your first day of school? When mommy was making your sign and the pussy ass bitch president had his 9th meltdown of the day pic.twitter.com/ZFZHJYrDPG

The hashtags #FilthyMouthedWife and #PussyAssBitch have now exploded into viral hilarity on social media, with thousands of women referring to themselves as the former.
John Legend surmised the bizarre situation best, when he said, “Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you.”
Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you.

Tomorrow, @ChrissyTeigen tells me how she feels about being called a “filthy mouthed wife” by the President of the United States. pic.twitter.com/lceG2PXpPc
