We’re researching how climate change impacts women in Australia

We want to hear from you!

Over the years, we’ve seen various studies highlighting how climate change is impacting women in Australia, as well as nuerous stories on how women have responded in the face of immediate emergencies.

Everything from a documented uptick of domestic and family violence that has occurred during natural disasters, to the unique impact on women’s health and services of climate-related events, and how the care economy is impacted.

*** Can you help? Take the 3-minute poll on how climate change is impacting women in Australia ***

We also know of so many great entrepreneurs, innovators and activists in this space — who are elevating the issue, coming up with real solutions and working towards a better future for Australia.

Of course, we’ve also seen the excellent leadership that comes from women aiming to address climate change, and where women have run for election across local, state and federal politics to try and make action happen.

We’re aiming to bring all this together, for a special report in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, to make sense of the real changes ahead. We’ll be exploring the risks and challenges — of which we know there are many. But also the potential opportunities in the green transition for women, should legislators and big businesses make the best possible decisions for the future.

But first, we want to hear from you! What are your experiences of climate change in Australia? What are your concerns ahead, who are the people you believe are leading on the issue?

And what are the additional loads of climate change that women are now carrying?

Please, take this short and very simple poll on the issue to share your experiences — which takes around three minutes.

And if you would like to share more on great entrepreneurs, innovators, leaders and others in this space (including in renewable energy) please feel free to share within the comment field at the end of the poll.
