Lisa Zembrodt has been appointed Principal and Senior Director, Sustainability Business across the Pacific Zone for Schneider Electric.
In the position, she will head a major expansion of services assisting businesses to meet energy transition and decarbonisation goals.
In response to increasing demands from organisations looking to make meaningful progress on energy transition and decarbonisation goals, Schneider Electric says it is expanding its global sustainability consulting business in Australia and the wider Pacific Zone.
This expansion will contribute to doubling the company’s global consulting practice and include new services and digital solutions across many areas: sustainability strategy, climate action and risk management, ESG reporting and materiality, supply chain decarbonisation, climate risk assessment services and climate action plan development.
“I want to amplify the impact of Schneider’s sustainability knowledge,” says Zembrodt.
“The more companies decarbonise, the quicker we will reduce the physical and catastrophic impact and risks of climate change, not just in Australia, but globally.”
Over the 16 years she’s been with Schneider Electric, Zembrodt has helped global and national corporations craft and implement holistic energy strategies, enabling emissions reductions and optimising financial outcomes.
She advises some of Australia’s largest energy users on energy markets, energy supply contracts and renewable energy strategies.
In addition to her new appointment, Zembrodt is also treasurer and non-executive director of the Energy Users Association of Australia and holds a Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate from GARP.
As a result of her expertise in the field, she has emerged as one of Australia’s leading voices on the energy markets and the energy transition. She was recently featured in ABC television’s energy crisis special and is regularly quoted across major media outlets.
Zembrodt already plays a key role in assisting leading corporations to achieve sustainable transformation and Schneider Electric Pacific Zone President, Gareth O’Reilly says her appointment recognises that.
“I know Lisa will provide crucial guidance and assistance to clients and contribute to our goal of creating more efficient industries and a sustainable world,” says O’Reilly.
Zembrodt will lead a team of consultants to advise and assist corporations and government on reducing emissions and increasing energy efficiencies through technological and operational changes. Her work will help set and implement these sustainability strategies.
“It is crucial business understands the risks of inaction on sustainability and climate, along with the opportunities,” she says. “I’m a passionate believer in an end game that ensures long-term financial viability for business alongside better outcomes for people and planet.”
