Holly Kramer doesn’t shy away from a career challenge: the group general manager of the Workwear division at Pacific Brands will soon move from one retailer to another, to take up the CEO gig over at Best & Less.
Her role at the discount clothing chain should bring fresh eyes to the budget-like appearance of the store and its customer-facing assets, given Kramer’s extensive experience in marketing.
“It’s exciting to be taking on a new challenge at this point in my career,” Kramer told Women’s Agenda following the announcement.
That career has spanned a number of different industries and companies, including senior positions at Ford, eCorp, Telstra and for the last three years Pac Brands, where she was considered as a potential successor to current CEO, Sue Morphet.
Kramer believes people will be key to changing the Best & Less shopping experience. “As a CEO, I want to build a team and culture that will make Best & Less the first choice for people who want to work in retail,” she says.
“And my many years’ experience in marketing has taught me that our customers will tell us what that winning formula needs to be!”
