Ann Sherry AO has been appointed to the Sydney Airport limited board, joining female CEO, Kerrie Mather.
The Carnival CEO who was last week named the second woman to be inducted into the Women’s Agenda` ‘Hall of Fame’, will take over from Bob Morris as a non-executive director, who retires after 11 years
Sydney airport chairman, Max Moore-Wilton, said in a statement Sherry’s experience in the tourism, transport and financial services sectors will bring value to the board, especially in supporting the airport’s strategy of growing tourism in Sydney.
“Ms Sherry is an outstanding addition to our Board. I am confident that she will make a strong contribution based on her diverse skill set and relevant experience.
Sherry’s appointment is effective from 1 May 2014
At the NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards last Thursday, Sherry accepted our ‘Hall of Fame’ award, joining Wendy McCarthy who became our first inductee at the inaugural awards in 2013.
