Over the weekend Sweden’s deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lovin shared a photo to mark the signing of a Climate law which binds all future governments to net zero emissions by 2045, ‘for a safer and better future’.
It is a significant achievement for the environment but that isn’t the only reason Lovin’s photo attracted attention. The photo, in which she is surrounded exclusively by women, is almost an exact replica of the images of President Donald Trump signing executive orders flanked by men.
Lovin expressed delight at the reaction the photo has sparked: it gained 20,000 Facebook ‘likes’ in 48 hours.
