Can you help? We’re learning more about the challenges and opportunities for women starting and growing businesses in Australia.
If you’re a founder, co founder or business owner, take the survey here.
Following our 2023 research on women in business navigating crisis, we’re again examining how women are currently faring and what more can be done to address some of their challenges and barriers.
While there has been an incredible 46 per cent increase in women business owners in the 20 years to 2022 and women now represent 36 per cent of small business owners, Australia is still not tapping into the full potential of women starting and building businesses.
Meanwhile, the stats highlight just how difficult it is for female startup founders to access capital in Australia, with just 4 per cent of startup funding going to all-female teams in 2023 and all-male teams continuing to dominate across all deals done.
So what can be done about it? And how can we better highlight the significant and too often overlooked impact of women starting and building businesses?
