Diversity, where is it advertising? Latest Women’s Agenda podcast

Women's Agenda podcast
The latest Women’s Agenda podcast is away! And this week we’re tackling the serious lack of women in advertising, as well as racism in politics and the benefits/potential downsides of single-sex schools.

Catriona Hay from B&T magazine joins Georgie Dent and Tarla Lambert in the Eagle Waves studio.

Catriona shares some of the stats on women in advertising, including that just 10% of creative directors are female. She says that there are a number of structural issues, including long hours in the office and in some cases a heavy drinking culture.

She also notes the powerful and emotional Share The Load advertising campaign that was a game-changer in India.

Meanwhile, the team take a long at racism in politics, following Fraser Anning’s speech in Parliament last week.

And what about single-sex schools? Georgie shares three different views on whether they work for boys and girls.

All three also share their key recommendations for the week, including an excellent podcast from the New York Times.
