Georgie Hubbard’s new book helps women future-proof their careers in the age of AI

As AI develops and reshapes the way we work, founder and author Georgie Hubbard is on a mission to support women in future-proofing their careers, most recently with the launch of her new book ‘The Bold Move’.

After spending 12 years in tech recruitment, she noticed a pattern she couldn’t ignore: most women were being held back by a lack of confidence, rather than a lack of skills.

“I’ve watched brilliant, capable women talk themselves out of roles they were more than qualified for, hesitate to apply for promotions, and accept salaries below those of their male counterparts for the exact same position,” Hubbard tells Women’s Agenda

Hubbard runs a mentorship program, called the Sisterhood Club, where she saw this kind of behaviour- women second guessing their abilities and waiting to feel “ready” before stepping into spaces they belonged.

“We don’t have the luxury of waiting until we feel 100 per cent confident anymore. AI is moving too fast, and the workplace is changing too quickly. If women sit on the sidelines until they feel ‘ready,’ we will miss the opportunities of this era altogether,” says Hubbard.

That’s where The Bold Move comes into play. Hubbard’s new book is a response to what she’s witnessed and a resource for talented women to no longer underestimate themselves.

“The book is my call to action, a movement, not just to learn the skills, but to develop the confidence to use them,” she says.

In the age of AI, the reality is that many of the jobs most vulnerable to automation are those where women are over-represented, she explains.

The Bold Move lays out a clear blueprint for these women to stay relevant, visible and confident.

The three key areas Hubbard points towards, include having the confidence to step into new spaces before feeling fully ready, having the curiosity to learn the necessary tools and having the visibility to show value in ways AI can’t replicate.

The book, overall, helps women understand exactly which human skills matter most against the automation of AI, as well as how to leverage AI to accelerate their careers.

For anyone worried their role might disappear, The Bold Move gives a structured path to pivot and identify opportunities for growth.

Hubbard says she hopes the book supports women to “walk away not only better prepared, but genuinely empowered to navigate this transition with confidence rather than fear.”

Along with her book, Hubbard is building another resource called Pivotr to give people a personalised roadmap in skill building in the age of AI. She says it’s like a “personalised career coach”, where individuals can do things like better understand their transferable skills and identify emerging career paths they’re suited for.

“Pivotr bridges the gap between what the job market demands and what individuals know how to do about it,” Hubbard says.

“When you pair Pivotr with the mindset and confidence tools in The Bold Move, you get both the blueprint and the execution system women need to not only survive this era but thrive in it.”
