Flavor Flav invites all female US Olympians to party in Vegas for women’s sport

Expanding on his initial invite to the US women’s hockey team, rapper Flavor Flav has now invited all female US Olympians and Paralympians to come party with him in Las Vegas to support women’s sport.

“I want to go bigger and better. You know what I’m saying? Word Up. Guess what I’m going to do. I want to bring all United States female Olympians and Paralympians [to Las Vegas],” Flavor Flav said in a social media post.

“I’m the official sponsor and hype man, remember that, and I got you guys covered. Alright, we’re going through a big party.”

On Tuesday, the US women’s hockey team turned down an invitation from Donald Trump to attend his State of the Union address, following the president’s misogynistic locker room joke with the US men’s hockey team.

Footage shows Trump calling the US men’s hockey team to invite them to the White House and joking that he’d face impeachment if he failed to invite the women’s team.

Both the US women’s and men’s team were gold medal champions against Canada’s teams in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

While the footage has received widespread backlash, American rapper and TV personality Flavor Flav stepped in to give the women’s team an alternative option for celebration. He invited them to party with him in Las Vegas.

The invite has gone viral and the women’s hockey team have accepted Flavor Flav’s offer, with a team spokesperson saying they ended up turning down the invite from Trump to visit the White House.

Now, Flavor Flav seems to be building on the momentum around praising women’s achievements in sports to make the party even bigger.

“We got to build up everybody, and that’s what this is all about.,” Flavor Flav says.

“So I want to see everybody bring your body to the party. Let’s get down. I support women’s sports. It’s all about women’s sports, baby.”

Congrats ‘only’ to the US women’s hockey team

Despite the backlash surrounding Trump’s misogynistic joke, the members of the US men’s hockey team decided to take up the president’s invite and attend his State of the Union Address.

It’s a decision that has seen many people calling out the men’s team’s previous support for women’s sport as disingenuous. One social media trend shows people posting videos to say congratulations ‘only’ to the US women’s hockey team, after the men’s team were seen pictured next to Trump.

Author Jodi Piccoult did so, posting her frustration that after Trump made his misogynistic joke, “not one single US Men’s hockey player said, ‘hey, they are teammates. Don’t talk like that.’ Not one. Not even the two brothers whose mom is one of the coaching staff to the women’s team.”

“To the men of the US hockey team, your mothers and your sisters are ashamed of you.”
