ACT police are expecting to lay further charges on a man who is alleged to have forcibly confined and assaulted a woman at a home in Canberra for several days.

In a letter to ACT residents, Julia Gillard noted her reluctance to “talk about politics” but said Gallagher deserved continuing support.
