A 34-year old Tasmanian woman Olivia Vinson has smashed the world record of most pull ups in 24 hours – a total of 7,079 pull-ups in 24 hours.

Chinese athlete Xie Ting broke the Guinness World Records for highest number of pull-ups in one minute, setting it at 44.

A 92-year-old woman who holds the record as the oldest female water skier has said to “just keep trying” and never give up on your dreams.

The world’s oldest person, Japanese woman Kane Tanaka, born in 1903, has passed away in Japan aged 119 and 107 days.

UK friends have set a new record for the fastest circumnavigation by tandem bicycle, coincding with the launch of this year’s Guinness World Records Day.
