Afghan women are being “erased”, according to prominent journalist and women’s rights activist, Mahbouba Seraj. 

The hunger gap between women and men is rising, with at least 150 million more women going hungry than men last year alone. 

In times of crisis women lead their communities in ways which often go unacknowledged. But when they rise, others in their circle rise too.
