World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Less than one in three schools around the world provide bins for menstrual waste in girls’ bathrooms, a new report from the UN has revealed.

The pandemic has made period poverty worse for those who already struggled to afford and source products to manage their periods safely and with dignity.

Plan International Australia is calling for free pads and tampons in all Australian schools in an effort to eradicate period stigma.
