Launched in beta in May 2017, the new website offers shared work and short-term commercial spaces for events, retail, meeting rooms and creative spaces.
According to REA Group, Spacely is already the number one listings site for flexible workspace and short-term commercial listings. It has ambitions for significant growth, especially given the fast growth of co-working spaces in Australia.
REA Group’s EGM of Commercial & Developer, Joseph Lyons, said Georgia’s appointment comes as Spacely needs, “A leader who understands the needs of start-ups and embodies the creativity, focus and entrepreneurial spirit that exists in the shared workspace environment.”
Georgia, who has significant experience and expertise in the startup sector, says the new challenge will enable her to further bring the community together. “I’m excited to be able to lead the business, and together with the team, take it to the next level,” she said.
“The opportunity to join REA, which has always been front and centre of doing things differently in the digital industry on both a local and global scale, was hard to ignore.”
