Olivia Rodrigo has announced she is throwing an all-women music festival. Happening at Great Park in Irvine, California on 29 August, Daisy Chain Fields will feature an incredible lineup of artists, including Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, Garbage and special guests Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks.

Rodrigo, whose new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart this week, announced the festival on her socials.

“Truly never felt more excited to share a piece of news with you all,” she wrote. “I’ve had a dream of doing this festival for years and i am so ecstatic it’s finally coming true!!”

“Daisy Chain Fields features an all-women lineup and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls.”

“The lineup is truly insane and full of my heroes and friends. I firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change and I’m hopeful this festival will be just that. I absolutely cannot wait to scream and dance and sing with you guys August 29th!!!!”

According to the event’s website, the festival’s net proceeds will go towards NGOs focused on delivering goods and services to women and girls. They include Baby2Baby, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, Planned Parenthood, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, FreeForm, Jhpiego, John Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health and Center for Reproductive Rights.

Rodrigo is no stranger to championing social justice causes. As well as being the founder of abortion-rights initiative, Fund 4 Good, she has given out free condoms and morning-after pills to crowds during her concerts and donated tour proceeds to reproductive rights clinics across the globe.

This is not the first kind of festival to highlight female acts and performers. Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan founded an all-female music festival in 1997. Lilith Fair featured artists including Fiona Apple, Tracy Chapman, Sheryl Crow, Suzanne Vega, Indigo Girls, and Pat Benatar. In 2025, a documentary was released about the groundbreaking concert tour, featuring interviews with Bonnie Raitt and Olivia Rodrigo about the challenges of being a female artist.
