Simone Biles reminds us she’s the GOAT like only the GOAT could do

Simone Biles secured her position as the greatest gymnast in human history this week, when she won her fifth Olympic gold medal alongside her five-woman USA squad at the women’s gymnastics team final.

Team USA triumphed with a combined score of 171.296 — well ahead of the silver-placed Italy, who finished with 165.494.

But Biles had no intention of finishing up there.

This morning she added another gold medal to her burgeoning collection after winning the artistic gymnastics all-around final.

Despite a minor wobble on the uneven bars, Biles regained her composure to deliver an exceptional floor performance, and an overall score of 59.131 to clinch victory.

Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade claimed the silver medal with a score of 57.932, while the defending gold medal champion, America’s Sunisa Lee, placed third with 56.465.

But it was Biles’ epic move after the win that had us bowing down.

As cameras panned across to capture her reaction, she swiftly gestured to her neck, flashing a silver chain with a tiny, diamond goat pendant.

‘Simone’s goat necklace is the greatest thing ever,’ one viewer wrote on X.

‘Winning the gold, becoming the most decorated gymnast and then immediately pulling out a GOAT necklace is the most gangster s**t lol,’ another chimed in.

It sent a bold and defiant message to her haters, including men like Piers Morgan who labelled Biles “a joke” when she opted to withdraw from the last Tokyo Olympics over mental health concerns.

This morning, Morgan was forced to eat his words on social media, congratulating Biles’ immense achievements.

“Congrats @simonebiles on becoming the most decorated American gymnast of all time,” and added, “I was too harsh on you in 2021 when you quit the team finals. You’re a great champion, and have since proved me wrong in the best possible way – by letting your supreme talent do the talking.”
