Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was interviewed on stage at the Women in the World Summit late last week.
He spoke on everything from his relationship with his mother, to feminism, to Donald Trump, to dealing with tragedy, to constantly addressing the impact on women on everything his government does — including the “gender-based analysis” that occurs on every measure put forward in the Canadian budget.
He also spoke about his gender neutral cabinet, saying that having a gender balanced cabinet “has been something that has led to a level of depth of conversation and approach to solving problems that quite frankly leads you to a much better place.
“We work hard to reflect the values people aspire to,” he said.
“If you’re lucky enough to be given opportunities, you need to do right by them.”
