Caroline Veitch appointed CFO at Football Australia

Caroline Veitch has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Football Australia.

Veitch comes to the role having held senior executive roles at Lion, KPMG and Endeavour Group, where she has led finance teams. Football Australia said Veitch has extensive expertise in the full spectrum of finance, as well as in strategy, consulting, change management and HR, describing her as a “natural and engaging leader”. 

Most recently, Veitch was the Head of Finance at Endeavour Group, a role she held since 2021.

CEO of Football Australia, James Johnson said he was thrilled to welcome Veitch to Football Australia.

 “Her wealth of experience and proven track record in leading finance functions, business transformation, embedding commercial and financial rigour and balancing short- and long-term priorities will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our organisation,” Johnson said.

 

“Caroline’s strategic mindset and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset to our executive team and the broader football community.”

On her appointment, Veitch said she was delighted to take on the role and help the sport of football grow in Australia.

“Football’s ability to bring people together is unparalleled, and I am excited to work alongside the many different facets of the football community in Australia,” Veitch said. 

“Football has a very bright future in Australia and I’m looking forward to being part of shaping that, ensuring that the sport continues to thrive.”

Veitch will resume the role at Football Australia on 26 August, 2024.
