Entrepreneur Sarah Agboola’s daily routine incorporates joy and quiet moments of reflection that she says are key to managing her health.
Agboola says she’s found small practices like walking every day, and journaling in the mornings make a big impact, noting that while it’s tempting to want to make big life changes on your health journey, finding healthy habits that you enjoy is key.
Agboola is the Founder and CEO of mtime, a business dedicated to giving busy families their time back by matching them with family assistants.
These assistants, called Moncierges, do a range of tasks, from making beds, washing dishes and vacuuming, to childcare, cooking and laundry. As a for-purpose business, mtime also helps women new or returning to the workforce gain meaningful employment through these assistant roles.
Recently launched, mtime is now offering a virtual concierge service to complement their core Moncierge service. You can learn more here.
In addition to her work building mtime, Agboola is a Partner at the entrepreneur-led consultancy, Arctic 90, and she’s been named a Forbes 30 under 30 leader in Social Impact. Agboola was also named the winner of the Small Business Leader Award at the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards.

In the morning I…
Start my day by writing in my gratitude journal. I go over the best parts of the previous day and it always puts me in a good mood. I started doing this a few years ago and it’s made such a positive difference to my mental health. I now find myself actively looking for moments of joy to reflect on.
My exercise routine includes…
I try to walk 8000-10,000 steps a day and I always try to do it outside rather than at the gym. It initially started to curb some COVID weight gain, but now it’s the part of my day I look forward to the most as it’s relaxing and helps me think. I also recently started doing pilates and yoga, and I do it for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week.
My favourite workout is…
Walking! I love that it’s easy and I can do it anywhere without worrying about equipment, clothing, etc.
I find balance in…
Making sure I have quiet time for myself at some point each day. The walks are a big part of that, but even finding time to be still at home without any distractions helps me reset and feel more at ease. I also practice meditation a few times a week, and listen to sound baths even when I’m just doing chores around the house or reading. The music is so relaxing it helps me re-energise.
On health I encourage women to…
Do what feels right for them, not what everyone else is doing. Sometimes it can feel like we need to make big changes all at once to hit our health goals, or follow what someone on Instagram is doing. But I think it’s such a personal journey and what works for one person will have nil effect for the next. Finding what I enjoyed and what fit well into my life made exercise fun.
