I’m sure most of you would have read our huge news last week. Private Media is selling Women’s Agenda to our Founding Editor Angela Priestley, who is returning from maternity leave tomorrow.
So this will be my last day at Women’s Agenda.
I have loved every minute I’ve spent editing and writing for this site over the last eight months. It is a privilege granted to only a few people, being able to combine work and passion in one space. Women’s Agenda is a place to dedicated to informing, entertaining and, most of all, advocating for women. I am proud that I was a part of it.
It is also the culmination of hard work by many amazing women. Angela Priestley, Marina Go, Georgie Dent, Lucia Osbourne-Crowley, Tarla Lambert and Jordi Roth (and, of course, Nicklas Wikblad) all bought talent, commitment and fierce intellect to the site, as did our many wonderful contributors.
I have no doubt that Angela, who, as Eric Beecher said, understands Women’s Agenda better than anyone, will continue the site in with the same intelligence and commitment she has always shown, and I could not be more thrilled for the future Women’s Agenda will have under her leadership.
I also want to thank all our wonderful readers for the support and enthusiasm you have given me as I stepped into the editor’s role, I hope you feel I maintained the high standards set by the women who came before me.
So, good bye Women’s Agenda readers, and congratulations Angela, I know you are going to do amazing things for your audience.
Thank you all for the encouragement and support you gave me.
(I’m not sure what I will be doing from here, but if you want to know, you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter or my blog.)
