Four of the best beauty oils

From nourishing skin, to preventing spilt ends, avoiding fine line and wrinkles or repairing stretch marks, beauty oils certainly are a versatile bunch. Even if you have oily skin, using beauty oils can have its benefits. Here’s a list of the top four, how to use them and what they can do for you.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse – The body hydrator
Nurturing nut or seed based oils are best for hydrating skin, which is why we love the 98.8% natural Nuxe oil containing macadamia, hazelnut and camellia oils. A French beauty favourite for years, this liquid gold is now available in Aus. Whilst it can also be used on ends of hair and on the face, I love it best as a replacement moisturiser, to hydrate and help avoid stretch marks. Another handy tip – use this oil in place of soap or shower gel to shave your legs. The oils will allow your skin to retain the moisture shaving usually strips. Plus, if you forget to moisturise post-shower, you won’t end up with dry pins. Another bonus? It smells divine, so is a great option to add a sweet scent to your style without hardly trying.

Planet Eve Facial Cleansing Oil – The oil cleanser
Oily skinned women often steer clear of oil based products due to the misconception these beauty buys will further clog their pores. Not true. Oil attracts oil, so washing with an oil based cleanser allows excess sebum to be drawn out of the skin and washed away, whilst maintaining the natural balance of oils in the skin. If you strip it all (you’ll know when you have – your skin will feel dry and tight post-cleanse) your skin will go into overdrive to produce more, which, in short, equals a viscous skin cycle. Try the Planet Eve Facial Cleanser. Containing anti-bacterial properties, as well as being anti-oxidant rich, it will cleanse as well as nourish all skin types – even oily ones.

Absolution L’Huile Visage “Addiction” Night and Day Face Oil – The face oil
If it’s aging you’re concerned by, look for an oil rich in anti-oxidants. These include Vitamins A and E, both able to help to fight free-radicals (the atoms at cause the aging process). I love the Absolution Night and Day Face Oil. Containing 27 oils and extracts, it has been designed to plump and soothe the skin. Tap on around your eyes and on your forehead before your morning or nightly moisturiser.

Orofluido Beauty Elixir – The hair oil
Damaged hair is often caused by excessive heat styling – step away from the straightening irons! Whilst spilt ends and frizz are the most common sign of hair in distress, you can help your locks to repair and stay healthy with the right oil. Argan oil is the buzz product when it comes to well cared for locks. It penetrates deeply into strands, without weighing them down. Try the cult Orofluido Beauty Elixir. It not only nourishes, but adds shine along with its delightful vanilla fragrance. Apply on damp hair, and only to the ends (the bottom third of your locks) to avoid greasy roots. You can also run the smallest amount through the ends of hair as a finishing product to add shine and tame frizz.
